Pilates is a method of exercise that builds muscle strength without bulk, it increases flexibility and can prevent injury.  Pilates is a useful tool in restoring good posture and alignment, rehabilitating injuries, gaining strength after surgery, and recovering from child birth.  As a teacher my goal is to create a program specific to each individual.  I feel that it is very important to continually asses each client and create a program that will help each person reach goals, and gain healthy strength and flexibility.  Pilates is a great way to maintain alignment and strength before, during, and after pregnancy.  Pilates was a crucial part of my pregnancy and getting back to health after my children were born.  This work is gentle and specific, and can be adapted to all stages of pregnancy and postpartum life. Staying strong throughout my pregnancy helped me to enjoy it and feel comfortable to the end!

 

Pilates was introduced to me as a college student.  I was suffering from a lower back injury that left me unable to dance, and Pilates saved me!  I learned more about my body, and I was able to strengthen weak areas while lengthening very tight areas.  I learn more from this work every day.  My clients have specific needs, and we are always working to perfect each individual client's practice.  I hope you will join me for a session, contact me today, you will never feel better!
